Abstract
Today, people pay more attention to their appearance. Body contouring is a technique that removes a limited amount of fat tissue and displays the surface anatomy more clearly in order to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing body shape. Especially in men, the prominence of the trunk muscles provides an athletic, strong, and healthy appearance. In men, the posterior trunk muscles form a V-shaped or triangular wedge, while the pectoralis major muscle over the chest and the rectus abdominis muscle between the abdomen’s tendinous intersections forms a convex muscle mass. Abdominal fat should be removed from the muscles to obtain oblique muscles, anterior serratus, a six-pack abdomen, and taut skin. The surface anatomy of the pectoralis muscles should be revealed in the ideal male chest. When shaping the arm, the muscle structure and mass of each patient are taken into account, and the three main muscles responsible for arm shape, the deltoid, triceps, and biceps, are highlighted. After determining the best surgical option for the patient in body contouring procedures in men, a detailed physical examination and careful evaluation of the patient’s anatomy are required.
