Liesbet Diliën, FECAMS, is an experienced medical practitioner with a strong foundation in general practice and a dedicated focus on aesthetic medicine. After graduating with distinction from the University of Antwerp in 1998, she built extensive clinical experience as a General Practitioner before transitioning into preventive and youth healthcare, developing a holistic and patient-centred approach to medicine.

Since 2019, she has focused her clinical practice on aesthetic medicine, combining her broad medical background with a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based treatments. In 2021, she founded skin|harmony in Hasselt, Belgium, where she provides personalised aesthetic treatments designed to enhance natural beauty while maintaining medical integrity and patient safety.

To further elevate her expertise, Liesbet Diliën undertook the Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine at ECAMS, an internationally recognised, structured and competency-based programme designed for medical professionals committed to achieving the highest standards in aesthetic practice.

As part of her structured progression within ECAMS, Liesbet Diliën has completed multiple advanced modules in aesthetic medicine, further strengthening her clinical expertise through a combination of theoretical education, cadaveric anatomy training, and hands-on practice on live models.

Her training includes:

  • Foundation in Botulinum Toxins & Dermal Fillers
  • Non-Surgical Advanced Facial Rejuvenation & Cadaveric Anatomy
  • Facial Anatomy, Complication Management & Architectural Contouring
  • Regenerative Injectables, Aesthetic Dermatology & Body Injectables

Through these modules, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of full-face assessment, advanced injection techniques, complication management, and regenerative aesthetic treatments.

This structured progression reflects a commitment not only to expanding her skillset, but to mastering aesthetic medicine through anatomy-driven, safety-focused, and evidence-based practice, in line with ECAMS standards.

Unlike short-term or attendance-based certifications, the ECAMS Fellowship follows a rigorous, progressive pathway. The programme integrates theoretical learning, hands-on clinical training, and continuous assessment to ensure both knowledge and practical competence.

As part of this structured pathway, she completed advanced training in aesthetic medicine supported by pre-course e-learning and mandatory assessments to ensure strong foundational understanding. This was followed by hands-on training under expert faculty supervision, where clinical skills were directly evaluated and graded using objective, competency-based criteria.

Beyond procedural training, she progressed through clinical mentoring and submitted verified case logbooks demonstrating the safe and effective application of treatments in real-world practice. Only after successfully completing all stages and final assessment was she awarded the title of Fellow of the European College of Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery (FECAMS).

This title reflects validated clinical competence through a structured system of training, assessment, and ongoing development, distinguishing it from conventional course-based certifications.

In addition to her ECAMS Fellowship, Liesbet remains actively engaged in continuous education, regularly attending international conferences and training programmes. She is also a member of the Belgian Association for Aesthetic Medicine (BVEG), reinforcing her commitment to quality, safety, and evidence-based practice.

Her clinical approach integrates advanced techniques such as ultrasound-guided aesthetic treatments, ensuring precision, safety, and personalised patient care. Through her work, she combines medical expertise with a refined aesthetic philosophy, delivering results that are natural, balanced, and aligned with each patient’s individual features.
