Dr Michael Barnish is the Head of Genetics & Nutrition for REVIV Global Ltd.
Post-graduation, Dr Barnish gained experience in several areas of medicine and surgery. These included emergency medicine, gynaecology, infectious disease, cardiology and paediatric medicine. Dr Barnish then underwent specialist training in general practice in Manchester, UK, where he excelled in offering patients a gold standard service, achieving membership to the Royal College of General Practitioners. Dr Barnish began to focus more and more on preventative health and decided at this stage to pursue a career that followed his passion for disease prevention. Dr Barnish decided that his role should be to prevent disease and minimise disease impact through preventative measures and help to educate the population in this medical specialty.
Dr Barnish’s career with REVIV Global Ltd developed from the passion and drive to forge a way for preventative health to become a medical specialty. Dr Barnish joined the REVIV team a little over four years ago. With such a passion and knowledge for intravenous antioxidant and nutrient therapy, Dr Barnish was appointed as their Lead Global Trainer within three months of joining the company and was responsible for training all new REVIV Global clinics and staff. He founded the REVIV Academy in 2017 for continued learning and gold standard practice globally in these fields.
Dr Barnish and REVIV’s research and development team have been working on bringing the most personal, comprehensive, secure and accurate lifestyle genetics analysis available to REVIV customers. With a background in undergraduate bio-medical science and genetic principles, Dr Barnish knew how genetics could play a role in improving outcomes for disease prevention, health, weight management and even anti-ageing processes. With this in mind, Dr Barnish has helped to develop this world-class genetic analysis and with his excellent knowledge in nutrition and IV therapy was appointed to REVIV’s Head of Genetics & Nutrition last year.
Dr Barnish has worked closely with REVIV’s world-class laboratory over the past two years and has received advanced genetic training during his time working closely with them, building on his undergraduate knowledge and making him a very unique, medical expert in these new medical specialties of lifestyle genetics and preventative health. He now continues his work for REVIV in developing these specialties with the European college of aesthetic medicine and attends global conferences for the education of other medical professionals and the public.
