Dr. Terezia Muresan, General Surgeon
Fellow (FECAMS): Aesthetic Medicine
Dr. Terezia Mureșan, FECAMS, is a highly experienced General Surgeon and Aesthetic Medicine Practitioner, with a strong clinical background built through years of surgical practice, leadership roles, and continuous professional development.
She graduated from the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca and completed her residency at the Regional Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Surgery Clinic III. She currently serves as a Primary Physician in General Surgery and Head of the Surgery Department at Cugir City Hospital, where she also holds the role of Medical Director—reflecting both her clinical expertise and leadership within the healthcare system.
Alongside her surgical career, Dr. Mureșan has developed advanced expertise in aesthetic medicine and minimally invasive procedures, with a focus on delivering safe, modern, and evidence-based treatments.
To further elevate her skills in aesthetic practice, she undertook the Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine at ECAMS, an internationally recognised, structured and competency-based programme designed to ensure the highest standards in clinical training and patient safety.
As part of this structured pathway, she completed multiple advanced ECAMS modules, including:
- Foundation in Botulinum Toxins & Dermal Fillers (live model training)
- Non-Surgical Advanced Facial Rejuvenation & Cadaveric Anatomy
- Facial Anatomy, Complication Management & Architectural Contouring
- Regenerative Injectables, Aesthetic Dermatology & Body Injectables
- Blepharoplasty & Brow Lift (cadaveric and live surgical training)
Each stage of the programme required pre-course theoretical preparation through structured e-learning and formal assessment, ensuring a strong anatomical and clinical foundation before progressing to hands-on training.
During the practical phases, her skills were directly evaluated by expert faculty through objective, competency-based assessments on both cadaveric dissection and live patient procedures. This was followed by clinical application and validation of techniques in practice.
Only after successfully completing all stages of training, assessment, and competency validation was she awarded the title of Fellow of the European College of Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery (FECAMS).
This distinction reflects a rigorous and structured pathway—ensuring that the title represents verified clinical competence rather than attendance-based certification.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Mureșan actively contributes to the field through teaching and participation in international medical education, supporting the development of other doctors in aesthetic medicine.
Her approach combines surgical precision with advanced aesthetic techniques—delivering results that prioritise safety, functionality, and natural outcomes.
